Hi! I’m Manuela!

Thanks for checking out Feather & Seed. This site is a labor of love and I’m so happy to share it with you.

If you found your way here, you’re probably dealing with some health challenges and looking for a solution that doesn’t involve endless specialist visits with practitioners who don’t see and treat you as a whole person and only wants to give you a pill.

Believe me, I’ve been there! For years I struggled with menstrual and digestive symptoms that saw no relief from modern Western medicine. But I found healing through acupuncture and food-as-medicine, and my life and career were forever changed. Shortly after trying acupuncture myself, I enrolled in a graduate program in order to help others with this amazing medicine.

I founded Feather & Seed in 2015 to help others tap into their inner knowing and heal themselves using holistic methods. In 2022, I opened my Acupuncture Clinic in Waltham, MA. I’ve completed extensive and robust training to support clients with a range of complex health needs. My studies and work include:

  • A Bachelors in Psychology & Sociology from UMass, Boston (Class of 2008)

  • A four-year Master’s degree program at the New England School of Acupuncture (Class of 2012)

  • 10 + years of experience practicing acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Boston area

  • Essential Oils training with Peter Holmes

  • Western Herbal Medicine Making at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine (2020)

  • Birth Doula training (2015)

  • Avid gardener, herbal and kitchen alchemist, and lover of fresh, local, seasonal food.

I LOVE what I do.  I have such deep respect for the ancient and time-tested wisdom I’ve learned, and am honored to support my clients in their unique healing journeys!

Feather & Seed has evolved to capture all of this knowledge and make it accessible to anyone who needs it. As an immigrant with French-Colombian roots who arrived in the U.S. in 1998 escaping Venezuela’s political crisis with my family, I’m proud to have forged my own path and to be able to pay it forward to others in need of care.

My biggest wish for everyone I work with or who finds this website is that they leave a little more empowered to take better care of their amazing bodies and that they learn to trust their body’s innate healing ability.

When I’m not working with my amazing clients or developing new content for Feather & Seed, you can find me with my high-energy kiddo and my two sweet cats, playing around with photography and caring for lots and lots of houseplants.
